Your main goal: sell our strawberries to whomever you think would love them too. You are the driver of revenue. The master of the profit.


Varmers is a Bangkok based collaboration between different cultures where Dutch technology and Thai ingenuity are combined. Together, we are trying to change the Thai food landscape for the better.

To do this, we have created our own technological approach and our own modular construction system which allows us to build and maintain new vertical farms every few months. Every vertical farm will have multiple products based on the Thai population’s and the grocery store’s needs.

The Thai population is waiting for this shift. The population is growing, outdoor farming is stressed under rising temperatures and long droughts, the outdoor farmers are moving to big cities to earn more money and smaller cities are rapidly developing into mega cities. This combined gives us the opportunity to build indoor farms fast yet responsibly and to professionalize the farming landscape while maintaining a profitable business model.

As Varmers approaches its first phase of explosive growth, we seek out creative, motivated humans who will join us in disrupting industry standards and lead the way in vertical farming and plant biology breakthroughs to solve, and tackle global issues.

Work Schedule – 9am-5pm, some weekends and OT may be required

As the Sales manager you work as the main sales representative of Varmers. You main goal: sell our products to whomever you think needs it. In the long term, you will lead a team with representatives from various other functions, you will play a role in setting strategy, decision-making, business planning, and analysis across all business aspects. Our assignments offer you the chance to create an immediate impact on the business while you continue to build your analytical, technical, and leadership skills.

 

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining a productive long-term relationship with your customers.
  • Acquire a deep understanding of customer needs and requirements
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of the market
  • Adapting and optimizing country commercial guidelines to your specific client
  • Negotiating contracts, promo plans, and innovations
  • Preparing volume forecast and plans
  • Collaborating very closely with teams from other departments;
  • Resolve any clients’ issues and problems and link your customer and the internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field with an excellent academic background
  • Must have more than three years of experience in sales
  • Must have proven success from school or work experience of strong leadership Have strong analytical thinking and skills
  • Curious individuals can make complex decisions using all the available data but are comfortable enough to use their gut feeling and instinct when these are missing.
  • Proficient in English and Thai
