A recurring crop programme begins with more detail than a crop name. A useful request includes variety, intended use, pack size, weekly quantity, acceptable price and required delivery days.
Feasibility before planting
Varmers checks whether the crop is compatible with the available environment and whether existing yield evidence is strong enough. Unusual varieties may enter a trial before commercial volume is promised.
Staggering the crop
Once the plan is agreed, propagation and planting are divided into sequential batches. This creates a recurring harvest rhythm instead of one large crop that matures all at once.
Performance is then reviewed using actual harvest weight, quality, crop losses and customer feedback. The plan can expand, contract or change variety as evidence improves.
