Control starts at the boundary
An indoor farm can reduce pest pressure through controlled access, sanitation, clean propagation material, monitoring and fast removal of affected plants. Environmental stability also helps avoid stressed crops that are more vulnerable to disease.
“Pesticide-free” should not be confused with “input-free” or the vague phrase “chemical-free.” Plants still need water and mineral nutrition. The useful promise is precise: no routine synthetic pesticide application, supported by documented operating procedures.
Quality still needs checking
Visual inspection, crop records and clear harvest standards remain important. Controlled growing makes consistency more achievable, but only good operations make it repeatable.
